*I’m happy to announce that Ed Contreras, will be facilitating an early afternoon of Latin Rhythms in February 2012. Here are the particulars—*
When: Saturday, February 4, 2012
Where: A private home near 5th and Sheridan in Denver.
Times/Sessions:
Beginner class runs from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
Ed teaches hand technique on the congas, ashiko & djembe. He also includes learning the tumbao, the basic pattern for Salsa music.
Ensemble runs from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
Appropriate for beginner and continuing students, this session is for those who wish to participate in the Salsa (Afro Cuban) percussion section, which would include congas, bongos, timbales, hand bell, maracas, guiro, & claves.
Costs:
Beginner $20 Ensemble $30 Both $40
Ed accepts both cash and check (made payable to him) on the date of the event.
Percussion needed:
Conga or djembe.
