Helen Trencher is a storyteller, percussionist, singer, actor, and teacher. In March 2007 she took second place in the 2nd Annual "Ollie, Ollie Oxen Free Story Slam," where she wowed the crowd with her multitude of character voices.

As "The Percussion Lady," she leads percussion workshops for children of all ages, teacher intensives, hand drum classes, and tailored team-building events.

Helen has performed live for KGNU’s Art Aloud program; the Mizel Museum; Boulder Public Library’s Winter Festival of Stories; Colorado Cultural Connections; Arapahoe Library District's Storytelling Extravaganza; City of Northglenn's All About Art Festival, Rocky Mountain Storyteller's Conference; Lakewood's Artfest and Fusion Fest; the Denver Zoo; and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.

In addition, she's applied her creative tendencies as an “actor entrepreneur.”  She has performed as a role player for the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office and as a "standardized patient" for University of Colorado medical students.  She has also appeared on stage as Aunt Abby in the ACT Theatre Production of Arsenic and Old Lace and as Cookie in the Colorado Stage Company's production of the Neil Simon farce, Rumors. Helen was a voiceover artist for the pilot of a children's television show, Kabby's Tree; a sketch comic in a television comedy pilot, N20 -- Suck it Up!; a sports fan in an Alavert commercial; and a golf student in a Public Service of New Mexico advertisement.
